A Light Weight Approach For Monitoring/Assurance in ONAP
Focus: ONAP DCAE. Scope : a) How the monitoring capability in ONAP can be simplified ? b) How monitoring solution can be used for both internal and external monitoring ? c) How Monitoring can be augmented with toolsets for human task automation, service monitoring, vulnerability scanning – Relevance of Bots d) Finally , how operational needs related to monitoring can be addressed without worrying about multiple templates to be managed

VNF On-Boarding Requirements, and Operations
The presentation will provide a status on VES data model and artifact that allow Design Time definition of DCAE Flows via simplified GUI. The presentation will address how the Policy data can be driven down to Micro-Services during Run time execution of the Flow. It will also address a need to have a VES data collection both at tenant and Infrastructure, so a straight forward correlation can be a realized. this would also promote reuse of DCAE Tools (Micro-Service, Analytics, Operational Policy etc).

AAI Abstractions & Extensibility
Relying on a fixed technology stack can cause numerous long term issues such as: * Dependence on EOL or outdated frameworks/software * Reduced agility means that more development cycles are spent retrofitting the codebase to use a new technology * Leads to maintenance problems as code is tailored to suit the idiosyncracies of a specific technology * Scalability problems Following a pattern that encourages the use of microservice abstractions provides us with the opportunity to reduce the impact that these problems impose on a development organization. This session discusses a technology stack in A&AI that uses this approach to allow for swappable graph database and underlying storage technology.

Model Driven Service Orchestration - SO State of the Union
ONAP is the open source project created by the convergence of AT&T’s ECOMP and the Linux Foundation’s Open-O which was announced in February 2017. ONAP provides real-time, policy driven orchestration. A key component of ONAP is the top level Service Orchestrator (SO), which orchestrates services at the highest level in the system. In this talk, DeWayne will discuss the challenges of model driven orchestration, the current state of service orchestration in ONAP, as well as planned developments for the future.

Policy Lifecycle API
This presentation will be an introduction to the upcoming release of the Policy Lifecycle API for Beijing. The Policy Lifecycle API is being introduced to support a richer lifecycle for creating, updating, deleting, querying and deploying policy during design-time and runtime. In addition, the API will be designed and developed using ONAP RESTful API best practices. For design-time, new features will be added to support a lifecycle that mirrors current SDC functionality such as: check-in/check-out, ready for testing, submission for certification, and lastly submission for distribution. These new features will move the policy API one step closer to: 1) integration into the SDC Design-time environment, 2) ability to develop and integrate a Policy Testing/Certification platform that can support flexible environment for doing conflict detection/resolution. For run-time, new features will be added to support runtime deployment of policies that support different modes of operation such as deploying policies in different modes: active, inactive, and safe mode. Platform operations team will have the ability to easily deploy and un-deploy policies to/from the desired mode. In addition, functionality will be added to give the ability for an operations team to retire selected policies at a given date. We would like to use this session to present an overview of the Lifecycle API and garner feedback from the community on the design.
