ONAP Beijing Release Developer Forum

ONAP is comprised of many applications, that are (as of release 1.1) built from over 100 docker containers. Each of which requires some level of configuration. In addition, nearly every application manages its own configuration in a unique way. This has lead to duplicate configuration values across the applications and no centralized configuration. In the ONAP Operations Manager, hierarchical configuration provides the ability to override application and component level configuration, allowing ONAP to be centrally configured. In this session you will learn how this was accomplished using Kubernetes ConfigMaps, container injected environment variables and the Helm template language.
